August Luncheon Follow-up: Angela Ingo, Decorating Superstar!

August WBN - Angela Ingo

The WBN was pleased to hear from Angela Ingo, interior designer, at our August luncheon.  Ingo presented useful information on the topic of Decorating Your Workspace – On a Budget!  In fact, much of Ingo’s presentation included how to rework items we already have in our homes to create a cozy workspace.  Ingo presented details examples and photographic representations to clearly explain how to easily convert a dull, disorganized workspace into a comfortable, personalized space.   Her well-constructed, lively presentation emphasized including four specific atmosphere-creating items to include into any workspace:

  1. A personal item (i.e., a meaningful photo in a frame).
  2. A natural element (i.e., real or silk plant).
  3. Lighting (i.e., an additional table or floor lamp).
  4. Texture (add fabric to create warmth in a sterile office environment (i.e., throw pillows or wicker baskets)).

Raymond Christy, Utah Transit Authority Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Officer, also addressed the WBN regarding free money available to disadvantaged women- or minority-owned businesses.  For more information, contact Mr. Christy at rchristy@uta.cog.ut.us.

Thanks to Angela Ingo, Raymond Christy, and to sponsors Mainspring Day Spa and Alpine Spinal Rehabilitation Center!

The next luncheon will be held September 10 at 11:30AM and will be a “Nothing but Networking” event.  Location is TBA.
