We hope you were able to join us last Friday, October 10th, for the Utah Valley Women’s Business Conference. But in case you weren’t (or if you just want a reminder of the fantastic lineup of speakers), here are the highlights.

Val Hale
Val Hale, who leads the Governor’s Office of Economic Development, started out the conference by giving us an overview of the economic outlook for the state. Utah (and Utah Valley) are rich with economic opportunity.Group at table

Attendees enjoyed a variety of great breakout sessions, including a panel discussion featuring the “Power Chicks.”

Scholarship recipients
Lisa Christensen, WBN Board member, recognized the 2014 scholarship recipients. The WBN provided scholarships to two women business students and one STEM student.

Keynote speaker Dr. Anne Wairepo, Senior Director of the Women’s Success Center at UVU, shared research on ways women can succeed in the workplace.
