This Friday, October 10, you’ll want to be at the Utah Valley Women’s Business Conference. It will be held at Utah Valley University Center Stage. You won’t want to miss the fantastic keynotes and break out speakers. The theme of the conference is Get in the Driver’s Seat. It will focus on taking charge of your career, your business and your life. The conference starts at 8:00 a.m. (registration starts at 7:30) and ends at 1:00.
Speakers include Val Hale, who heads up the Governor’s Office of Economic Development. He will be giving an overview of economic issues in the state. Mike Cheney, President of Persogenics, who will talk about communication effectiveness in the workplace. Amy Marty of Keeler Thomas will talk about Women and Money: Taking Charge of Your Financial Future. Another highlight will be a panel discussion by the Power Chicks (Jessica Egbert, Mary Scott, Mary Street, Lei Pakalani, and Michele Bates) entitled “Life is a Highway and We Want to Drive It!” Other speakers include management and career experts. Funds raise through the conference go toward WBN scholarships provided to outstanding women UVU and BYU business students.
Registration for the conference is available here. The cost is $50, which includes breakfast and lunch. Students can attend for $15. Please be prepared to show your student ID at check in.
