For September’s Women’s Business Network (WBN) luncheon, we met at The Hub at Corporate Alliance on September 8th for our ever-popular Nothing-but-Networking event. The luncheon began with an opportunity to meet this year’s WBN scholarship recipients, Shanie Bushman and Tiffany Peterson.
Networking activities had everyone discussing shoes owned, books read, sports played, soda pop addictions, and more. It was fun to see new friendships developing and the number of people who were able to connect professionally as well.
Even though our focus was networking, we want to mention the wonderful lunch provided by Landmark Catering. The Asian chicken salads were perfect for a warm summer day and many diets were busted by those adorable and delicious mini bundt cakes.

In October, the WBN will be pleased to present the first annual Utah Valley Women’s Business Conference. The Conference will occur on Friday, October 14 from 9AM-1:30PM (check-in will be 8:30-9AM) at the UVU student center and replace the traditional second-Thursday WBN luncheon. Featuring more than a dozen expert speakers on relevant business-focused topics, Conference attendees may select one of three tracks: business basics, enterprising entrepreneurs, and practices professionals. A luncheon with keynote speaker Christine Redgrave will culminate the event. Tickets will be available beginning on September 8 for a highly reduced rate of $15 for students and $25 for businesswomen.
