In September, the Women’s Business Network (WBN) of the Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce will continue the semiannual Nothing-but-Networking luncheon tradition. Combining with the North Utah County Women in Business, the WBN will host the luncheon at The Hub at Corporate Alliance (746 E 1910 S #S (Kuhni Boulevard), Provo). Featuring catering by Landmark Catering, the luncheon begins at 11:30AM on Thursday, September 8, and will include fun networking activities which will build attendees’ personal and professional networks.
A popular event, registration will be capped to ensure adequate space so we encourage you to invite your colleagues and register for the luncheon as soon as possible. Registration will be closed on noon on Tuesday, September 6. The $15 discounted rate is available to those who register prior to this deadline; minimal same-day registrations may be available for the $18 regular rate. We are also pleased to welcome to the September luncheon the WBN scholarship recipients for the 2011-2012 academic year. Students at BYU and UVU, respectively, Shanie Bushman and Tiffany Peterson will be introduced in greater detail at the luncheon and in a future blog. The scholars will work with the WBN events and organizations via mentor Marsha Haynes, WBN Board Member and UVU Director of Internship Services.

In October, the WBN will be pleased to present the first annual Utah Valley Women’s Business Conference. The Conference will occur on Friday, October 14 from 9AM-1:30PM (check-in will be 8:30-9AM) at the UVU student center and replace the traditional second-Thursday WBN luncheon. Featuring more than a dozen expert speakers on relevant business-focused topics, Conference attendees may select one of three tracks: business basics, enterprising entrepreneurs, and practices professionals. A luncheon with keynote speaker Christine Redgrave will culminate the event. Tickets will be available beginning on September 8 for a highly reduced rate of $15 for students and $25 for businesswomen.
