The November WBN luncheon will be held at 11:30AM on Thursday, November 11th at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions at 561 East 1860 South in Provo. The University is located to the East of the Novell tower and just off of I-15. Park in the lot closest to the road and enter the building numbered 561 (with the flag poles). Dream Dinners will provide our luncheon catering.
Hawkins, Cloward, & Simister is loaning to us expert Certified Public Accountants to present important information on fraud prevention. Darren Judd and Jacob L. McClellan (bios below) will discuss signs and symptoms of fraud, who is most likely to commit fraud, areas that are susceptible to fraud, and easy controls to implement to protect your organization from fraud. This information is important for business owners, employees, and individuals alike!

Darren Judd, CPA
Mr. Judd is an audit manager at Hawkins, Cloward, & Simister. He graduated from Southern Utah University with a Masters of Accountancy and is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant. His experience and background is in audits of commercial entities, governmental agencies, and non-profit organizations; tax planning and preparation for corporations, partnerships, individuals, non-profit organizations, and trusts; and business operation and accounting process consulting. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants, and serves as the Vice President for the UACPA Southern Chapter.
Jacob L. McClellan, CPA, CITP, ABV
Mr. McClellan is a manager at Hawkins Cloward & Simister. He graduated from Brigham Young University with degrees in Accounting and Information Systems before joining HCS. In addition to begin a certified public accountant, Mr. McClellan holds the Certified Information Technology Professional and Accredited in Business Valuation credentials. Mr. McClellan is past President of the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants Southern Chapter and currently serves on the Executive Committee and as Finance Chair for the Utah Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau. Mr. McClellan is active in the Marriott School of Management’s resume review and student mentoring programs. He specializes in business valuation, litigation support and consulting, and financial statement attestation for numerous clients in diverse industries including: healthcare, real estate, technology, government, and professional services.
