October WBN Luncheon

The October WBN luncheon will be held at 11:30AM on Thursday, October 14th at Ruby River in Provo. Ruby River is located at 1454 South University Avenue and is connected to the Provo La Quinta Inn.

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the WBN is pleased to hear from Andrea Warner on the topic The Power of Persistence:  From Cancer Diagnosis to Walking in Gratitude.  Warner is a local businesswoman and breast cancer survivor who volunteers for the American Cancer Society.  She shares her story to raise awareness and education, and to inspire women and working professional to persist despite obstacles.  Warner received a bachelor’s degree in business in 1995 and has been a nurse for 21 years.  Six years ago she started her own holistic healing practice out of her home and is a Reiki practitioner and licensed massage therapist.  Although she was diagnosed with breast cancer in March of 2009 and has undergone four major surgeries and chemotherapy, Warner has been cancer-free for a year! Warner is the proud mother of two children, Julianna and Joshua.

Invite your colleagues, register, and pay for the luncheon by 12PM on Monday, October 11 to receive the $15 discounted rate. Those who register after this date will pay the regular $18 rate. While attendees are welcomed at the event, it is strongly encouraged to RSVP so we can ensure there is adequate food!

To register, click the registration link on the left column of the blog or contact The Chamber directly through Camellia Rowland (crowland@thechamber.org or 801-851-2564).  We encourage you to arrive prior to 11:30AM so we may start the luncheon on schedule.

Thanks to Hawkins Cloward and Simister  and Cupcake Chic for sponsoring this event!
